[Musique] Le monde selon Alex June

Alex June ? Alex June ? Mais qui est-ce ? J’ai des goûts musicaux assez classiques mais lorsque qu’une copine m’a parlé de cette chanteuse, pop électro, pas du tout mon style habituel, je me suis jetée sur Youtube. Et là ! Un vrai coup de cœur !
Son premier album Big-Bang, nous plonge dans un univers très particulier, un peu (beaucoup) barré, visuellement et musicalement, avec des doux airs de Björk, des sonorités de mes regrettées années 80 (aaaargh les synthés)… Complètement planant.

Avec « Mortal soldier », ma préférée, j’ai eu la sensation de me retrouver au milieu des eighties et en même temps d’être transportée dans le futur, l’espace…
La demoiselle ne s’économise pas : elle chante en français, anglais et espagnol, mais étrangement j’ai préféré l’anglais et l’espagnol, ne pas comprendre les paroles accentue le côté hypnotisant.

Schizophrénie temporelle musicale, voilà la nouvelle bonne maladie que l’on peut contracter en écoutant Alex June.
Voyage astral quasi garanti, à écouter sans modération !

Alex June (Alejandra Felmer) est une artiste Chilienne, née en France mais élevée au Chili. Elle développe un univers pink-­dark, dramatico-­galactique qui se retrouve pleinement dans sa musique mais également dans l’imagerie qu’elle manipule d’une main maître. Le premier album d’Alex June, “Big Bang” mélange sa voix de diva aux compositions pop électros pointus et exigeantes.

Alex June? Alex June? Who is she? My music taste is pretty standard but when a friend of mine mentioned this electro-pop singer, which isn’t my usual type of music, I rushed to check it out on Youtube. And it was a true revelation !
Her first album Big-Bang takes us to an usual music genre, a little (more like a lot) demented, visually and musically, with some smooth melodies influenced by Bjork, sounds from the deeply missed 80’s (argh those synthesizers)…Totally spacy.
“Mortal Soldier”, my favorite track, made me feel like I was going back in time to the eighties and travelling to the future and to space at the same time…
The young lady isn’t holding herself back, she sings in French, English and Spanish, but strangely enough I preferred when she sang in English and Spanish. Not understanding the lyrics reinforces the hypnotizing effect of the songs.
Musical temporary schizophrenia, here is the new condition you could have while listening to Alex June.

Space journey almost guaranteed, to listen without moderation!
